The project area is located about 15 km away from the city center and is located in the Güzelyalı Neighborhood overlooking the
martyrdom statue on the coastline with Marmara Sea to the west and pine forests to the east. The region is located between natural
and historical values and after 1970, the camp facilities were started to be built gradually which were open to service in 1980. The
complex served as a camp area until today after which a new project was made because it failed to meet the demands of the day
due to the insuciency of physical conditions and earthquake resistance. In this regard, the objective was to create a modern,
sustainable complex with open, semi-open and closed facilities where exhibitions and conference organizations can be carried out
in an environmentally friendly environment while providing means for camping and accommodation to sportsmen and women from
both our country and abroad while also serving the locals of the city. The complex includes a hotel, education units, fitness centers,
open air sports fields, swimming pool, conference center, boathouse for rowing sports, a pier, sales units and the required service
units for beach use. The complex was built to be in correspondence with nature both visually and directly and the vertical pedes-
trian axis that connects the buildings together ends at the pier.
