MASTER PLAN
Keltepe is located to the southeast of Karabük and it is the
highest point of Western Black Sea region with an elevation of
1999 m. The peak is covered with snow for 6-8 months during
winter and so provides winter sports opportunities. In addition,
it is also located in a region that is suited for tableland tourism
during the summer thanks to its green nature, scenic beauty and
clean air. The objective was to ensure that both the local public
and visitors who come to visit especially the Safranbolu region
can benefit from the area in both the summer and the winter
months. The center will be open for service 12 months with an
accommodation center of 150 bed capacity, a multipurpose hall
for 300 people, training and seminar units, restaurants, ski rental
areas, daily use facilities for the local public, technical centers
and administrative units. The 2 km chairlift and teleski lines can
be used for skiing during the winter and for transportation to
the viewing terraces during the summer.
A composition for spaces that respect the nature, fit their loca-
tion and can establish relationships between the city and history
was tried to be established. In this regard, the local architectural
elements of the Safranbolu region were used for the building
façades and plan solutions.
