Today, Ankara is the product of the 20th century. The city be-
came the symbol of the move towards modernity when it was
announced as the capital of the Turkish Republic in 1923. Ankara
took on the role model status in the modernization process of
the new state and the infrastructure of the city had to be built
from scratch so that it could take on the role of the capital
city. The Ankara of the Early Republic period exists even today
thanks to the buildings from that period. (Thomas Lier)
This 42.000 capacity Stadium proposal was prepared as an
idea project with the invitation of the Mass Housing Adminis-
tration and the Ministry of Youth and Sports and is located on
the Eskişehir highway which represents the direction of devel-
opment for Ankara. The stadium that is planned to be built in
the capital city of modern Turkey aims to become one of the
symbols of rising-developing Turkey and to establish links with
historical symbols. The location and land data of the Ankara
Stadium were taken into account and it was aimed to make the
stadium one of the sports and social centers of the city.

du. Erken Cumhur yet dönem n n Ankara’sı o dönemden kalma

b r s olması amaçlanmıştır.
